Easter 2013

Earlier this year we finally found new church in our area that we have been loving. So that, mixed in with The Bible showing on the History Channel in the weeks leading up to Easter, made Easter pretty special for us this year.  It just seemed like this year we finally got it. I don't know how else to explain it!  I told Jordan that doing the whole Easter Bunny thing this year just felt so...silly. I wanted to scream...this is not what we should be excited about right now!!  While Holland still doesn't see much more than her basket being magically full in the morning, I'm happy Owen is now old enough to see the big picture.  But anyway, some pictures...

Dying eggs!

Goofy kids!

Ready for bed!

We kept it simple this year.  They were both expecting Peeps so we made sure they got those as well as a toy they have each been eying at Target. Holland has been asking for a "unicorn pillow" for awhile now so when I found a My Little Pony beach towel at Target that had the unicorn pony it, I knew they had to get beach towels, too!

Good morning!

There was a miss communication about the Easter egg hunt the kids were supposed to be participating in this year which they ended up missing.  They were pretty bummed about it so they were so happy to see that the Easter Bunny had left hidden eggs all over the house for them!

That's Owen's sailboat, by the way...

Jordan's friend had asked me to make him a king cake for his birthday on the day before Easter.  I saved some dough from that and made a small king cake for Owen and Holland to enjoy.  That was their Easter Breakfast!

We took a few quick pictures before heading out to church
Silly girl!

We spent awhile outside once we got home while the kids played with their new goodies.

We headed to our friends' around lunchtime for some more fun!
I love that we dressed our boys almost exactly the same and made them coordinate to their sisters with matching ties!
These kids are the cutest!

This didn't last long, but it was so cute they all wanted to cram on this tiny picnic table to have lunch together.

Jordan spent most of the day sleeping, but joined us for a little while before heading to work for the night.  We made sure to get a family picture before he headed off.
I am so blessed.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
